Hi, I’m Jo.
I am based in Powys, Wales with a passion for the outdoors. While my main job is running my handmade leathercraft business J.H.Leather, when I can, I love nothing more than grabbing my camera gear and heading out exploring with my bestest buddy Skylar (sorry Tim).
I decided to set this blog site up as a way of pushing myself out of my comfort zone (aka, a 15 mile radius of my house!!) and getting out and exploring more of the amazing places here in the UK.
Whilst this blog life is all new to me, I feel it will make me accountable by having an outlet to share what I have been up to (even if it is just my mum reading!) and hopefully inspire you to get out and explore some of the beautiful locations right here in the UK.
The aim:
Get out and explore more
Photograph the things I love (and not just Skylar…)
Stop (or at least reduce) my ‘next time’ attitude
Share my adventures though blogs and videos
Eat more less cake
Spend even more time with Skylar

As I have not properly introduced her, meet Skylar, our 10 year old (where did that time go!) sprocker spaniel (springer x cocker spaniel).
She is the main reason that I got started in photography back in 2016, and she has regretted it every day since! haha! It’s fair to say she doesn’t like to stay still for that long so by being my main model is not her favourite thing in the world! She has even learnt the sound of my camera shutter and will zoom off after one click - thank the stars for electronic shutters! That being said, she is my furbaby and I love her to bits.
Skylar accompanies me on pretty much all of my photography adventures, so we aim to find as many dog friendly places as possible.
